The preliminary investigation in the criminal proceedings regarding the director of the “Tumanyan Forestry” branch accused of demanding and receiving bribes and the 4 accused who bribed him, has been completed.
According to the preliminary investigation carried out in the criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, evidence was obtained that during 2021 K. Gharagozyan, the director of the “Tumanyan Forestry” Branch of “Hayantar” SNCO of the Forestry Committee of the RA Ministry of Environment, in order to sell timber procured from the said forestry to various buyers, demanded and received bribes of various amounts from them.
11 people were detained, including G. Simonyan, the deputy mayor of Yerevan
According to the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, factual information was obtained that while occupying the position of Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia in 2020-2022, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan G.
