With the evidence obtained by the criminal proceedings carried out in the RA Anti-Corruption Committee it was substantiated that G. Gh., occupying the position of the forester of the Vahagni Forest State of the “Vanadzor Forestry” branch of the “Hayantar” SNCO, deliberately did not fulfill the powers arising from his position, as a result of which the state suffered a property damage of AMD 3,228,000.
In particular, by the preliminary investigation it was found out that based on his personal interest of not breaking the friendly relations with a group of residents of Lori Marz, G. Gh. allowed them to regularly enter the territory of one of the reserves of the Vahagni Forest State during 2021 and carry out illegal tree cutting without permission. After that, the aforementioned persons loaded the timber into the vehicles they operated and illegally took it out of the forest, using it at their discretion.
Then G. Gh. drew up 2 protocols of forest violation, according to which, allegedly, an unknown person illegally felled 16 oak trees in the reserve served by him in the Vahagni forest state. Based on the aforementioned protocols of forest violation, the employees of the RA Nature Protection and Subsoil Inspection Agency made a damage calculation, during which, in addition to 16 oaks, 4 more trees were found to be illegally cut. According to calculations, the total amount of damage caused by the illegal cutting of trees was AMD 3,228,000.
G. Gh. was charged for the above-mentioned crime under part 1 of article 441 of the RA Criminal Code. During the preliminary investigation G. Gh. admitted himself guilty and gave confessions.
The preliminary investigation is over. The materials of the proceedings with the indictment were handed over to the supervising prosecutor with a request to approve it and send it to the court.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
