Sasun Khachatryan, the chairman of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee hosted Giorgi Sharvashidze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia and Kamo Galustyan, the Police Attaché of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Armenia.
The possibilities of expanding partnership between the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia and law enforcement structures of Georgia were discussed during the meeting, especially bearing in mind that a corresponding memorandum is already being prepared, which will be an important prerequisite for taking more effective steps in the direction of law enforcement cooperation.
The Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee presented the main directions of the structure's activity and the results recorded in the fight against corruption to the Georgian side. At the same time, Sasun Khachatryan assured that the Anti-Corruption Committee is open for cooperation in any format and there is the necessary will and desire to carry out more active work in the fight against corruption, taking into account the fact that corruption is no longer only a problem of individual states, but also a transnational phenomenon, in the prevention of which international cooperation is very important.
During the meeting, the parties also emphasized the activation of joint activities in operative-search activities.
Ambassador Sharvashidze, expressed his belief that this meeting would be a new impetus for the deepening and expansion of law enforcement cooperation between the two countries.
