Delegation led by the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia visited the Italian Republic. A memorandum of understanding was signed with Italy’s Guardia di Finanza (Financial Guard)
With the purpose to expand cooperation with Law Enforcement Agencies of the Italian Republic, specializing in the fight against corruption, and to study the rich experience of the latters, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia Sasun Khachatryan visited the Italian Republic from November 14 to 18, 2023. The visit was carried out within the framework of the "TAIEX" program of the European Union.
9 persons were detained on suspicion of receiving and giving bribes, including officials of Artashat territorial center of the United Social Service
As a result of the actions carried out by the operational-investigative department of the Anti-Corruption Committee of RA under the initiated criminal proceedings, factual data was obtained that the head of the department of social work and employment programs of Artashat territorial center of the United Social Service of RA Ministry of Labor and Social Issues T.K. and the head one of the appointment departments of the same service, H.S., using their powers or the influence caused by them in favor of a briber, entering into prior agreement with the senior social worker L.M., regularly received bribes of various sizes from lots of beneficiaries.
The person offering a bribe in the amount of AMD 80,000 to the patrol officers is detained
On November 20, 2023, A.S. was detained and submitted to the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia on suspicion of offering a bribe to the officers of patrol service of the Police of RA Ministry of Internal Affairs and possession of prohibited drugs.

The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings has been completed against the head of the Department of Economics at Shirak State University, charged of receiving bribes of various sizes from about two dozen students
The preliminary investigation carried out in RA Anti-Corruption Committee under the criminal proceedings, justified that A. M., carrying out the position of the acting head of the Department of Economics at “Shirak State University named after M. Nalbandyan” Foundation since August 23, 2022, using the influence of his official powers, received funds at the amount of more than AMD 900,000 as a bribe for committing illegal actions in favor of a number of students in 2022-2023.
As a result of abusing official powers by the former mayor of Yerevan, damage was caused to Yerevan community in the amount of over 700 million AMD.
The preliminary investigation carried out by RA Anti-Corruption Committee under the criminal proceedings, justified that E.Z., holding the position of the mayor of Yerevan within the period from July 1, 2003 to March 4, 2009, abused his official powers, without proper legal grounds, made a decision to alienate an area of 31.780 sq.m., located at 1, Saralanj Street, Yerevan, owned by "Youth Palace" state closed joint-stock company and being a state-owned property, to "Avangard Motors" limited liability company at a price many times less than the cadastral value, as a result of which Yerevan community suffered a property damage in a particularly large amount of AMD 742,649,595.
Preliminary investigation has been completed against more than a dozen people, including officials of police and the inspection body of UTFS, accused in receiving bribes from drivers to allow the movement of overloaded trucks and other abuses.
According to the preliminary investigation carried out under the criminal proceedings by RA Anti-Corruption Committee, numerous episodes of bribery paid by drivers of trucks, driving along Yerevan-Meghri highway, to officials of the inspection body of urban, technical and fire safety of RA (UTFS), as well as the police, were revealed within the period from January to February 2023. As a result, a lot of overloaded vehicles exceeding the permitted maximum weight, passed through the stationary point of the inspection body of the UTFS, located in the community of Sisian without being weighed and without obstacles, and continued driving, as a result, the cover of the roadway of M-2 Yerevan-Meghri highway was damaged, and the offenses committed by the drivers were not recorded, and the persons were not brought to administrative responsibility.
The head of Nork-Marash cemetery is arrested on charge with taking a bribe in the amount of 4500 US dollars
As a result of the actions carried out by the operational-investigation department of RA Anti-Corruption Committee under the initiated criminal proceedings, factual information was obtained that H. Sh., holding the position of the head of the cemetery of Nork-Marash administrative district, SNPO “Special Service for the Population” of Yerevan Municipality, abusing his official powers in favor of V.K., namely with the purpose of burying the latter’s relative in Nork-Marash cemetery and providing a burial place at a preferred area, required and received on June 22, 2023, from V.K. a bribe in a large amount of 2,500 US dollars.
