The Chairman of RA Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Masanori Fukushima, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
Noting that he highly values the development of cooperative relations with Japanese partners, the Chairman of the Committee Sasun Khachatryan thanked the ambassador for his cooperation and expressed hope for implementation of productive joint projects with Japanese partners in the near future aimed at deepening and strengthening collaboration in the field of law enforcement.
Ambassador Fukushima stressed that the prevention of corruption and the fight against corruption are the main factors that contribute to the rapid development of the country and the establishment of democracy, therefore, from that point of view, he evaluates the activity of the Anti-Corruption Committee in Armenia very positively. Considering that the anti-corruption policy in Japan is quite developed, the ambassador assured that the two countries can effectively cooperate in this field.
Sasun Khachatryan assured the Ambassador that a persistent fight against corruption is being waged in our country, and the idea of the inevitability of responsibility is gradually taking roots in the society.
Summarizing the meeting, the parties agreed to deepen the cooperative links and carry out effective work in exchanging experience, mutual visits and implement joint projects in the framework of the fight against corruption.
