The criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee established that an officer of the patrol service of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs used his official powers to the detriment of state and official interests, and also committed official forgery.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a patrol officer in Kotayk region stopped a person driving a vehicle while drunk and offered to undergo a sobriety test in accordance with the established procedure. When checking the citizen's driving license, the patrol officer found out that 8.75 of the penalty points had been used up, and if a fine is imposed, the driver would be deprived of the right to drive vehicles.
