Students of the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University were hosted today by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee within the framework of the nationwide campaign “Let’s join forces to prevent corruption”. The Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the USAID implements the “Anti-Corruption Awareness Week”, which started on December 3, 2024, within the framework of the campaign.
During the discussion with the students, the Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee spoke about the causes, consequences, mechanisms of combating corruption, touched upon the dangerousness of the phenomenon, public perceptions of corruption, and the importance of forming intolerance towards this phenomenon by society.
“The fight against corruption is an everyday issue, and it is important that the sense of statehood is rooted in the person fighting this phenomenon. Great dedication and “belief in the effectiveness of the work done, first of all is at the heart of all this”- Mushegh Babayan noted.
Answering the students’ questions, the Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee emphasized that public support is also extremely important in the fight against corruption, increasing public trust in the activities of law enforcement agencies, which in turn largely depends on the effectiveness of their work.
