The preliminary investigation carried out under the criminal proceedings investigated in the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia justified that H. K, holding the position of the head of one of the departments of Shirak marz administration, using his official powers and the influence caused by them, facilitated the nomination and appointment of N. Kh. and A. M. to the corresponding positions in one of the schools of Shirak marz in exchange for a bribe.
In particular, the preliminary investigation established that H. K., having learned about N. Kh.'s desire to nominate for the position of coordinator of the administrative and economic department of the said school, demanded from him and received a bribe in the amount of USD 4,000, in exchange for which, using his official powers and the influence caused by it, contributed to the appointment of N. Kh. to the said position.
The preliminary investigation also confirmed that H. K., for assisting in nominating a teacher of the same school A.M. for the position of the acting director and appointing her to the said position, through N. Kh., demanded a bribe of USD 1,500 from A.M., of which he received USD 1,000, and the latter promised to transfer the remaining USD 500 after her appointment.
The official of Shirak marz administration, H. K, was charged under Article 435, Part 2, Clause 2 (2 episodes) of the RA Criminal Code, N. Kh. was charged under Article 436, Part 1 and Article 437, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code, and A. M. was charged under Article 436, Part 1.
Arrest was applied as a measure of restriction against H. K.
The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings has been completed, the materials of the proceedings have been sent to the court with the indictment for consideration on the merits.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
