Based on the criminal proceedings carried out in the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, it was established that K. Ch., holding the position of the administrative head of one of the communities of Tavush region and being an official, committed official forgery.

In particular, the preliminary investigation established that in February 2024, K. Ch. submitted to the community administration a list of names of RA citizens living in one of the populated areas of Tavush region, aged 20 to 51, certified by his signature, which also included information about his son. However, K. Ch., with the intention of releasing his son from a 25-day training camp organized by the RA Ministry of Defense, made a false note about the latter being in the Russian Federation, while his son was in the Republic of Armenia at that time. After that, the document containing knowingly false information was sent by K. Ch. to the community administration, after which it was put into official circulation.

For the above-mentioned criminal act, K. Ch. was charged under Article 445, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings has been completed, the materials of the proceedings have been sent to the court with the indictment for consideration on the merits.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
