According to the preliminary investigation carried out in the criminal proceedings carried out by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, it was found out that the official of the unified social service of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs demanded and received different amounts of money as a bribe in order to draw up retirement documents for a number of people, from November to December 2023.

In particular, it was found that occupying the position of head of a units of one of the territorial centers of the Unified Social Service S. H. demanded and received in his office a bribe of 400,000 AMD against preparation of pension file of the woman who applied to them, from the husband of the latter. 

  In addition, in November 2023 S. H. received a bribe of AMD 60,000 from another person in order to prepare the relevant documents related to the latter’s pension.

In another count, it was found that S. H. demanded a bribe of 432,000 AMD in the amount of one year's pension, to draw up retirement documents for a dual citizen.

In the course of preliminary investigation it was also revealed that S. H., using his official powers under the pretext of receiving a bribe, demanded money in the amount of one year's pension for an allegedly illegal act in favor of another pensioner, for the compilation of the pension file, including untrue information about the duration of the latter's working experience in that file. As a result, according to the agreement, S. H. received AMD 300,000 from the latter.

For the above-mentioned criminal acts, S. H. was charged under part 1 of article 435 (3 counts) of the RA Criminal Code and part 1 of article 440 of the RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation in criminal proceedings has been over. The indictment was confirmed by the prosecutor and the proceedings were sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
