The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings, initiated as a result of actions carried out by the operative-investigative department of RA Anti-Corruption Committee, justified that the head of the territorial department of Martuni Military Police of RA Ministry of Defense E. A. received a large bribe in the amount of AMD 570,000 for committing an illegal action in favor of the person indicated by the briber.

In particular, it was established that with the purpose to assist in the issue of not registering and not processing the case of detection of a prohibited substance with a conscript soldier of the military unit N. of RA Ministry of Defense by giving a bribe to an official, the latter's father, S. H. addressed to the military instructor of Dilijan basic school № 1 Г. Г. The latter, with the intention to assist in paying the bribe, turned to his close person E. A. for the above-mentioned issue, who accepted the offer of bribery.

Afterwards, E. A., using his official powers and the influence caused by them, committed an illegal inaction in favor of a military conscript soldier, for not registering and not processing the case of the detection of a prohibited substance with the latter, with the assistance of G. G., on September 12, 2023, received a large bribe in the amount of AMD 570,000 from the father of a conscript soldier by bank transfer.

E. A. was charged under Article 435 Part 2 Points 2 and 3 and Article 549 part 1, G. G. was charged under Article 46-436 part 2 Points 2 and 3, and S. H. was charged under Article 436 Part 2 Points 2 and 3 of RA Criminal Code.

The preliminary investigation under the criminal proceedings is completed. The indictment is approved by the prosecutor, and the materials of the proceedings are filed to the court for review on the merits.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
