As a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee based on the report of an officer of Talin community hall, a case of giving a bribe in the amount of  1,900,000 AMD by the director of “A. Perlit” LLC, was revealed.

In particular, by the proceedings initiated in the Anti-Corruption Committee, factual data was obtained that E. A., the director of “A. Perlit” LLC, intending to expand the works of the perlite processing plant in Aragatsotn marz and to lease a new land for the operation of the perlite mine in Mastara, applied to the Talin community hall in order to organize public hearings and obtain a positive conclusion, where a negative conclusion was given based on the results of the four hearings, as well as the complaints of the community residents.

Then E. A., the director of “A. Perlit” LLC appealed to S. T. the head of “Talin Community Service, Utility” PNCO, and asked the latter to mediate with Talin community leader T. S., to organize repeated public hearings for the purpose of mining, as well as to give a new positive conclusion to lease the new land for the operation of the Mastara perlite mine for a bribe.

After that S. T. submitted a report to the RA National Security Service regarding the bribe giving by the director of “A. Perlit” LLC, on the basis of which an imitation of receiving a bribe was carried out within the framework of the proceedings initiated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee. In the framework of the mentioned operation, E. A. gave a large amount of bribe of 1,900,000 AMD to T. S. through S. T. on April 27, 2023.

Immediately after giving a bribe, E. A. was detained by the officers of the operative-investigative department of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee on the basis of the existence of a reasonable suspicion of having committed an act provided for by points 2 and 3 of part 2 of article 436 of the RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is underway.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
