During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee on the basis of the materials received from the Internal Security Department of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, new cases of apparent crimes of demanding and receiving bribes by police officials, as well as giving bribes to police officials by citizens were revealed.

In particular, factual information was obtained in the criminal proceedings, that A. S., M. H., V. Kh. and H. G., inspectors of the "Traffic Police" service received various sums of money as bribes from them, for illegal inaction in favor of a number of drivers who committed violations of traffic rules, that is for not registering the violations and not subjecting to administrative responsibility.

 The above-mentioned four traffic police inspectors were detained on suspicion of accepting bribes, by the Anti-Corruption Committee investigator on 20.02.2023.

A preliminary investigation is underway. Necessary operational-investigative measures are taken, as well as investigative and administrative actions are carried out in order to find out the whole range of apparent crimes, as well as the persons involved therein.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
