Based on the materials received from the Internal Security Department of the RA Police, the Anti-Corruption Committee initiated criminal proceedings regarding the apparent crimes of demanding and receiving bribes by individual RA Police officials, abusing the official position, as well as cases of bribery of police officials by citizens.
In the criminal proceedings, factual information was obtained that police "Road Police" inspectors K. H., K. M. and A. A. demanded and received a bribe of up to AMD 10,000 from the latter in exchange for not drawing up records of many drivers who violated traffic rules, and in some cases even committed serious violations, driving without an APPA contract or driver's license, or even deprived of their driving license.
In addition, the preliminary investigation also revealed that the aforementioned police officials, out of personal interest, abused their official position and did not draw up records of administrative offenses against drivers who committed violations.
