Based on the materials received from the Internal Security Department of the RA Police and the information received as a result of operative-investigative measures implemented by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, criminal proceedings were initiated in the Anti-Corruption Committee under the 1st and 3rd points of Part 2 of Article 435 of the RA Criminal Code. regarding the alleged crime of receiving bribes by officials.
In particular, in the criminal proceedings, factual information was obtained that police "Road Police" inspectors N. T., R. N. and G. E. demanded a bribe from more than two dozen drivers who committed violations of traffic rules and received various sums of 5.000-20.000 AMD as a bribe in return for not drawing up records of administrative violations.
On 19.01.2023 "Road Police" inspectors C. E and R. N are arrested by the RA anti-corruption committee investigator with the suspicion to receive a bribe. On 20.01.2023, police inspector N. T. was also arrested on the same suspicion.
An investigation is underway. Necessary operational-investigative measures are taken, as well as investigative and administrative actions are carried out in order to find out the whole range of apparent crimes, as well as the persons who committed them.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
