In the criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anticorruption Committee, factual data were obtained on the fact, that illegal business activities were organized and carried out by the employees of the LL company engaged in passenger transportation through a number of drivers from Armavir city to Yerevan and vice versa in different cars without special permission.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found that the said illegal activities in the area of the Armavir city bus station were coordinated by S. H. and G. E., performing the functions of orderlies, who were in close relations with A. S., the deputy head of the patrol service of the Armavir department of the RA Police. The latter, having learned about the above-mentioned activity without special permission, obvious illegal inaction in favor of S.H. and G.E., that is, for not preventing and not revealing the apparent administrative offense, demanded a bribe from them. As a result, between December 2021 and April 2022, S.H. and G.E. collected a total of AMD 220,000 bribes from the drivers and at A.S.'s request, they transferred a part of it to A.S.'s electronic wallet on different days through payment terminals.
For committing the above-mentioned criminal acts, A.S. was charged under Article 311, part 2 (entered into force on 01.08.2003, expired on 01.07.2022) of the RA Criminal Code, S.H. and G.E. - under Article 436, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
On 03.11.2022, A.S., S.H. and G.E. were detained by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee investigator.
On 04.11.2022, a petition was submitted to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction to select taking into custody as a measure of restriction against A.S., which was granted.
The investigation is ongoing.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
