During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated by the RA Anticorruption Committee, a case of concealment of data on 7 immovable properties of particularly large sizes subject to declaration by the former governor of Tavush, considered to be an official, was revealed.
In particular, it was found that H. A., occupying the position of RA Tavush Marz Governor from May 15, 2014 and being a declarant official, having the duty to submit a declaration of property, income and interests in case of termination of official duties, on June 26, 2018 in the declaration submitted to the ethics commission of high-ranking officials, deliberately did not include, hid the data on 7 immovable properties subject to declaration, located in Yerevan city and Tavush region, with a cadastral value of AMD 3,035,946.
For committing the above-mentioned criminal act, H. A. was charged under Article 314.3, part 2 (entered into force on August 1, 2003, expired on July 1, 2022) of the RA Criminal Code being in force at the time of committing the alleged crime (deliberately hiding data in the declaration).
The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings regarding H.A. has been completed. The materials of the proceedings with the indictment were handed over to the supervising prosecutor with a request to approve it and send it to the court.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
