On the criminal case initiated by the RA National Security Service and investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, factual data were obtained regarding the apparent demand and receipt of bribes by the RA Police official.
In particular, according to the materials of the criminal case, in March 2021, the senior inspector of the "Road Police" service of the RA Police, M. S., during the inspection of the documents of driver A. G. in the city of Vanadzor, found out that the latter drove the car without a driver's license and CMTPL contract, demanded and received a bribe of 20,000 AMD for the obvious illegal inaction of not subjecting the driver to administrative responsibility and not taking the car to the penalty area.
On 22.06.2022, M.S. was detained by the investigator of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee on suspicion of committing a criminal act under Article 311, part 2 of the RA Criminal Code.
The preliminary investigation is underway.
Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
