Sufficient evidence obtained on the criminal case examined by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee proved that A.P., occupying the position of the storekeeper of fuel lubricants in one of the military units of the RA Ministry of Defense from July 1 to December 13, 2021, misappropriated by embezzlement  diesel fuel, gasoline and gasoline coupons, allocated to the military unit and entrusted to him, in particularly large amounts, of more than 3 million AMD.

In particular, according to the charge brought,  A.P., using his official position, stole 1,228 kg of diesel fuel, 3332 kg of gasoline and coupons on 2085 liters of gasoline, worth more than 3 million AMD from the storage of fuel lubricants of the RA military unit between October 31 and December 6, 2021.

Diesel fuel was illegally taken out of the territory of the military unit by A.P. and sold to a resident of Kotayk marz for AMD 400 per liter. He also sold the gasoline coupons equivalent to 2085 liters to the employee of the gas station operating in Yerevan, and sold the embezzled 3332 kg of gasoline to other persons.

For committing the above-mentioned criminal acts, A. P. was charged under Article 179, part 3, point 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

The investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The case with the indictment was handed over to the supervising prosecutor with a request to approve it and send it to the court.

Notification. the person accused of a crime is considered innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a verdict entered into legal force.
